Nolan Cooley began obsessively creating repetitive pattern art when he was Six years old. Now 12, he's amassed a huge collection of work on everything from paper and canvases, to surfboards and skate decks. Less than 20 percent of kids with Autism learn to ride a bike independently. Despite these odds, Nolan's not only learned to pedal, he's also become an avid surfer and skater.
9FIVE teamed up with Nolan for Autism Awareness Month to combine two of his passions, art and skateboarding, into this Nolan Cooley signature deck. All proceeds will go to Nolan and his charity of choice, Askate, which provides occupational therapy through skateboarding for children with Autism.
9FIVE will be hosting a gallery of Nolan’s art at our San Diego flagship store in North Park on Thursday April 14, 2016.
